money trumps beliefs.

nothing really new. a generalization that stretches from the first time that man took money for artistic services rendered.
shipe and i were talking about the commercialization of rock music and how it's hard to take a band's revolutionary threats serious when they run out on a stage sponsored by AT&T.
people dress like they're some type of counter-culture bohemians, but they're just as corporate as the preppiest armani-skinned businessman.
kinda depressing.
shipe rested in memories of zeppelin though, talking about how the band played until it was time, and then they broke up with no reservations.
i talked about indie-music and how it at least tastes pure to me, lacking the mass-money produced texture of bigger acts...
I guess both Shipe and I lost a little trust yesterday.
Band of Whores continues their descent
Zeppelin proves that friendship (money) is more powerful than credibility

New London Fire continues seducing new fans, as I had yet another person come up to me and be like, "I heard I could get "I sing the Body Holographic" from you.
I'm telling you, this band could be big.
I actually interviewed lead singer dave debiak at the end of june and have been trying to get it put together, so we'll see about that.
______

If you live and D.C. and aren't an idiot, you should buy tickets to this show.
